Life is short, so we take time out to go on group adventures, with Mary Lilly Keenan Flagler just to have some fun.

Mary Lilly gets invited to some really fun places.  Who doesn’t like ice cream, trains  and fun on a nice day in May?

Dr. Andrew Anderson, Jr.who lived in Maryland and sold Henry Flagler part of his orange grove to build the Ponce de Leon Hotel.

Or was it just a mirage? Mary Lilly and Dr. Anderson lived so long ago but they keep showing up around the Railroad Adventures.

We never know where Mary Lilly and Dr. Anderson will show up, but usually she will give us an advance notice.  When she does our members are the first to know,

Here we have Dr. Andrew Anderson, Jr. and Mary Lilly Keenan Flagler in the 21st Century on board the Georgia Costal Railway train.  They are in costume as to fit in with others in this Century.

we got an engine room tour from our engineer.

The chosen power of the Georgia Costal Railway is this streamlined passenger locomotive.

FLAIRR and the Port Orange Depot Preservation Society join Mary Lilly to see the observation cars at the Root Family Museum of Arts and Science.

The Silver Holly observation dome car was built by Budd for the C&O Chessie that never materialized, sold to the D&RGW and then into private ownership.  The Root Family traveled extensively in the Silver Holly before placing it into the museum.

Inside the Silver Holly Mark. Flagler finds a home on wheels  down the hallway on the left side of the photo leads to bedrooms kitchen and restrooms. The stairs directly behind her lead to the dome for a panoramic view whil traveling. 

The Milwaukee Road Sky Top Observation Car Dell Rapids is one of six built by the Milwaukee Road.
